Delivery Information

When ordering Gaco Products only, you will be offered two delivery options at checkout:

• Standard Delivery: Estimated delivery within 2–4 working days.
• Next Working Day Delivery: Orders must be placed before 11am to qualify. Orders placed after this cut-off will be processed on the following working day.

Next Working Day Delivery is an estimated, non-guaranteed service. We cannot offer a refund or discount on the delivery charge solely because an order arrives later than the estimated timescale. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If your order also includes products from other brands, checkout will display combined delivery charges. This combined service does not include next working day delivery for Gaco products. If you require this option, please contact us before placing your order.

Please advise us before dispatch of any access restrictions, road closures or other circumstances that could prevent or delay delivery. Delivery vehicles may range from small vans to rigid and large articulated HGVs. We cannot control which vehicle is allocated to your order.

We strongly recommend that you do not schedule roofing works until your order has been received in full and checked.
Checking Your Delivery

Please inspect your order on arrival. Any visible damage should be recorded on the delivery paperwork, and any damaged items must be reported to our office within 48 hours of delivery. Photographs of the packaging and affected products will help us resolve the matter promptly.

Tins may occasionally become dented or distorted during transport. Cosmetic dents do not normally affect the contents or their suitability for use, provided the tin remains sealed and intact, we would not normally refund or exchange. If a tin is split, leaking, open or has a damaged seal, please report it as a damaged item.

Returns Information

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Please contact our office before returning any products so we can confirm the correct procedure and return address. The return address may differ from our operational depot.

Products must be unused, unopened and in their original condition. For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the return delivery costs and for ensuring the goods are securely packaged.

Returned goods remain your responsibility until they have been received and inspected by our customer service team. We recommend using a tracked delivery service with suitable cover for the value of the goods. We cannot refund items that are missing from the return or arrive damaged.

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights, including those relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

What is GacoFlex U91 used for?

GacoFlex U91 is the base coat within the GacoFlex U9 roof and deck waterproofing system. It forms a tough, high-build film beneath the finishing top coat and is used to refurbish suitable existing roofs and decks.

Can GacoFlex U91 be used on its own?

No. U91 is an aromatic urethane base coat and is not UV-stable. It must always be overcoated with a suitable finishing coat, normally GacoFlex U92 Aliphatic Urethane Top Coat.

Which roof surfaces is U91 suitable for?

U91 is designed for suitable aged asphaltic, single-ply and previously coated roofs. Compatibility depends on the existing material and its condition, so check the technical data sheet and confirm the preparation requirements before application.

Does U91 require a separate bleed-blocking primer on asphalt?

On suitable asphalt-based roofs, U91 resists oil migration without a separate bleed-blocking primer. This does not remove the need to check any other substrate-specific preparation or priming requirements.

Is GacoFlex U91 suitable for areas with foot traffic?

Yes, when used within a complete U9 system specified for the intended use. Applications can include plant decks, maintenance walkways and roof terraces. U91 must not be left exposed as the finished wearing surface.

Can it be used on decks with vehicle traffic?

The U9 system can be specified for suitable areas subject to vehicle traffic. A project-specific specification is required to confirm the substrate, system build-up and finish are appropriate.

Does U91 need a separate hardener or catalyst?

No. It is a single-component, moisture-curing polyurethane, so no separate hardener or catalyst is required. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for preparation and stirring before use.

How much does an 18.9 litre pail cover?

One pail covers approximately 46 m² at the specified 10-year system film build, or 30 m² at the specified 20-year system film build. Actual coverage varies with surface texture, condition and application thickness. These figures cover U91 only; allow separately for top coat and detailing products.

Does the coverage specification mean it comes with a guarantee?

The references to 10-year and 20-year film builds describe system specifications, rather than an automatic guarantee for an individual pail. Confirm any guarantee requirements and eligibility before starting your project.

Can U91 restore a roof without stripping it off?

Yes, where the existing roof is suitable for refurbishment. The roof and underlying construction must be assessed first, with unsound materials, trapped moisture and other defects addressed before coating.

How should the surface be prepared?

The substrate must be sound, compatible and prepared in accordance with the technical data sheet. Remove contamination and loose material, complete necessary repairs and confirm any adhesion testing or priming requirements before application.

When can I apply the U92 top coat?

Follow the current U91 and U92 technical data sheets for curing requirements and overcoating intervals. Timing depends on application conditions, so do not assume the base coat is ready based on elapsed time alone.

Is GacoFlex U92 included?

No. GacoFlex U92 Urethane Top Coat is available to purchase separately and is normally applied over U91 to complete the specified U9 waterproofing system.
