Shipping policy

Delivery Requirements:

  • Deliveries are made with the expectation that the customer can accept the goods at the delivery location, is willing to offload the goods manually, or has the necessary means for mechanical offloading. This requirement is particularly important for heavier items, such as pallets.
  • All deliveries are made on a "kerbside" basis, meaning the goods will be delivered to the nearest accessible point on the public road adjacent to your property. The final decision on the exact delivery location may be at the discretion of the delivery driver.
  • A large proportion of our deliveries are made using large, rigid tail-lift vehicles and Articulated HGV Trucks. These vehicles offload goods via a pallet truck, which requires a flat, hard surface such as tarmac, concrete, or pavers for safe unloading.

Access and Special Requirements:

  • If you have restricted access or require mechanical offloading, please contact us prior to placing your order. We will always try to accommodate your needs to ensure a smooth delivery process.
  • In cases where delivery fails due to access issues, we reserve the right to charge for re-delivery and storage at the hauliers depot.

Delivery Charges and Locations:

  • Delivery charges are calculated during the checkout process and are clearly displayed before you finalize your order. These charges apply only to Mainland UK deliveries and do not include the Scottish Highlands or Isles off the Mainland. Additional charges may apply for deliveries outside of Mainland UK, as defined by our company, suppliers, and couriers.
  • For deliveries to locations not classified within Mainland UK, please contact us at 01622 962412 or shop@flatroofingsystems.co.uk for a quote on the additional charges.

Multiple Deliveries:

  • Due to the nature of our business model, your order may be fulfilled by multiple suppliers, resulting in multiple deliveries. We aim to consolidate deliveries where possible but cannot guarantee this in every case.


Delivery Timing and Scheduling:

  • While we make every effort to deliver your goods within the stated or requested timeframe, we cannot guarantee availability from the manufacturer or adherence to the manufacturer's delivery schedules. Therefore, we recommend that you do not schedule or commence any work until you have received your goods.
  • We are unable to provide specific delivery times due to varying logistics from different couriers and suppliers. However, deliveries can occur between 07:00 and 18:00, depending on the courier, local traffic, and other factors. On the day of delivery, you may contact us for an approximate delivery time, and we will do our best to assist you.
  • Tracking information will be provided whenever possible, but it may not be available from the courier or for every item in your order. If you need an update or more information, please contact us directly.

Delivery Charge Discrepancies:

  • If you notice that your delivery charge seems unusually high, please check to ensure that you haven't added similar items from different suppliers to your order, as this could lead to multiple delivery charges. If you are unsure about the source of your items or believe the delivery charge is incorrect, please contact us. We will do our best to help clarify the charges and explore options to reduce carriage costs where possible.
