Memtec PVC single ply flat roof membrane

The single ply PVC roofing membrane is constructed from PVC polymer with mesh reinforcement, boasting numerous benefits such as resistance to UV light damage, root penetration, rot, and aging. It also offers fire resistance with self-extinguishing properties, along with vapor permeability for a bubble-free finish. This PVC flat roof membrane is durable, flexible, low maintenance, and can withstand temperatures as low as minus 25°C without cracking.

Warranty & lifespan information

In terms of warranty and lifespan, the PVC single ply membrane comes with a 20 year manufacturers product guarantee and is  British Board of Agrément (BBA) Accredited, BBA Certificate number 14/5144 and the BBA have confirmed an expected service life expectancy “in excess of 35 years”.

Single Ply roof membrane installation

The PVC membrane offers a quick and mess-free installation process. Seams can be connected using either cold applied adhesive or mechanical fixings with electrically hot air welded overlap seams. This eliminates the need for dangerous naked flames or messy hot bitumen during installation.

To successfully install Memtec PVC Single Ply Membranes, extensive training and on-site guidance for a minimum of 12 months, along with costly specialized tools, are prerequisites. This product is not suitable for DIY enthusiasts or roofing/building contractors lacking adequate experience. Any errors stemming from inexperienced installation can nullify product warranties.

Mechanically fixed, adhesive bonded or loose lay ballasted

The membrane can be installed in various ways such as mechanically fixed, fully bonded, or loose laid and ballasted, making it suitable for all flat roof constructions, some pitched roof installations, and can be applied over existing bituminous roofing felt, asphalt, and mineral surface finish roofing felt (after removal of any stone chippings).

To complete the roof, metal drip trims can be added along with a range of roof drain outlets and water chutes for surface water drainage. It is recommended that only trained professionals handle the installation of this product to ensure proper application and performance.

Delivery Information for PVC Roofing

  • Deliveries are  Monday to Friday ( Excluding Bank holidays )
  • Majority of orders are dispatched either the same or next working day.
  • Deliveries are usually within 5 working days of order
  • Large HGV type vehicles are used for deliveries for kerbside only
  • Offloading is your responsibility unless you have notified us that a tail-lift & pallet truck is required ( Kerb side Only )

Exchange & Refund information 

Should your single ply PVC product arrive damaged or defective in any way, we will exchange it or provide a refund if you inform us by email within 48 hours of delivery. Please do not sign for deliveries if they are obviously damaged.

Can you walk on PVC flat roof surfaces?


Although capable of receiving occasional, light foot traffic (e.g. for maintenance and inspections), it’s smooth surface finish means it can become slippery in damp, wet and cold conditions.


What is the difference between EPDM & Single ply PVC?



EPDM is a single ply rubber roofing system manufactured from ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM)

PVC membrane is also a single ply material, but manufactured from mesh reinforced polyvinyl chloride. Where it really excels with it's exceptional seam strength, making it more resilient and ideal for large flat roof areas.
