Unilin FR/BGM Flat Roof Insulation Boards are a high-performance PIR insulation solution designed for use with a wide range of flat roofing applications, including bituminous roofing systems, fully adhered single ply membranes, and liquid applied waterproofing systems.

Each board features a dual-faced construction, making it a truly versatile insulation option for both new build and refurbishment projects. The black polypropylene fleece finished bitumen/glass fibre surface is designed for compatibility with bitumen-based roofing systems, whilst the beige mineral glass tissue facing is suitable for adhesive bonded single ply membranes and liquid roofing applications.

Manufactured to provide excellent thermal performance, Unilin FR/BGM helps achieve demanding building regulation requirements whilst reducing heat loss through flat roof structures. Suitable for installation over timber, metal and concrete decks, these insulation boards can be mechanically fixed, adhered, or installed using hot bitumen depending on the roofing specification.

Available in a range of thicknesses from 25mm to 160mm, all boards measure 1200mm x 1200mm and are supplied in pack quantities only.

Installation Guidance

Unilin FR/BGM boards may be installed on timber, metal or concrete roof decks using mechanical fixings, approved adhesives, or hot bitumen depending on the roof specification. For bituminous roofing systems, the fleece finished surface should face upwards. For single ply and liquid roofing applications, the mineral glass tissue surface should be used as the bonding surface.

All roofing works should be completed in accordance with current British Standards, manufacturer recommendations and site-specific project requirements.

Important Information

  • Sold in pack quantities only.
  • Protect insulation boards from moisture during storage and installation.
  • Suitable for limited maintenance foot traffic only.
  • Walkways should be installed where regular roof access is required.
  • Roofing system compatibility should always be confirmed with the waterproofing manufacturer before installation.

Delivery Information

Delivery Information

The Unilin Flat Roof Insulation Board range is delivered directly to your chosen address by our trusted delivery partners, typically within 2–4 working days, subject to stock availability.

Deliveries are usually made using large HGV vehicles, which may include articulated lorries. Please ensure there is suitable access to your property and advise us of any restrictions, such as narrow roads, weight limits, low bridges, or restricted access areas, before placing your order. Failure to notify us of potential access issues may result in delivery delays or additional charges.

Insulation boards are supplied in manufacturer pack quantities on timber pallets and are offloaded using a tail lift and pallet truck. Delivery is made to the kerbside or nearest safe accessible point only. The driver is unable to move pallets across gravel, grass, slopes, uneven surfaces, or into buildings.

We strongly recommend that you do not arrange, schedule, or commence any roofing works until you have received and checked your complete order. While we always aim to deliver within the stated lead times, delays can occasionally occur that are outside of our control.

Collection from our depot may also be available, subject to stock availability. Please contact us before travelling to confirm stock levels and collection arrangements.
