The Unilin FR/ALU Foil Faced Flat Roof Insulation Board is a high-performance PIR (Polyisocyanurate) insulation board designed specifically for use beneath mechanically fixed, loose-laid single ply roofing membranes. Manufactured with vapour-tight, gas-tight aluminium foil facings, FR/ALU delivers excellent thermal performance while helping to reduce heat loss and improve the overall energy efficiency of flat roof constructions.
Suitable for use on timber, metal and concrete roof decks, Unilin FR/ALU boards provide a durable and lightweight insulation solution for both new build and refurbishment projects. The boards offer outstanding thermal efficiency with a low thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK, helping to achieve demanding building regulation requirements whilst minimising roof build-up thickness.
Each board measures 2400mm x 1200mm and is supplied in full pack quantities only. Available thicknesses range from 25mm to 150mm, allowing the correct specification to be selected for a wide range of flat roofing applications.
Please Note: Unilin FR/ALU is designed for use beneath mechanically fixed single ply membrane systems and is not suitable for use with built-up bituminous roofing systems, torch-on felts, mastic asphalt or liquid applied roofing systems. For these Systems please see Unilin FR/BGM.

Installation
The boards should be installed over a suitable vapour control layer in a break-bonded pattern. All board joints should be fully supported by the roof deck and secured using approved mechanical fixings designed for the roof construction. Additional perimeter fixings may be required depending on roof location, height and wind loading requirements.

The Unilin Flat Roof Insulation Board range is delivered directly to your chosen address by our trusted delivery partners, typically within 2–4 working days, subject to stock availability.
Deliveries are usually made using large HGV vehicles, which may include articulated lorries. Please ensure there is suitable access to your property and advise us of any restrictions, such as narrow roads, weight limits, low bridges, or restricted access areas, before placing your order. Failure to notify us of potential access issues may result in delivery delays or additional charges.
Insulation boards are supplied in manufacturer pack quantities on timber pallets and are offloaded using a tail lift and pallet truck. Delivery is made to the kerbside or nearest safe accessible point only. The driver is unable to move pallets across gravel, grass, slopes, uneven surfaces, or into buildings.
We strongly recommend that you do not arrange, schedule, or commence any roofing works until you have received and checked your complete order. While we always aim to deliver within the stated lead times, delays can occasionally occur that are outside of our control.
Collection from our depot may also be available, subject to stock availability. Please contact us before travelling to confirm stock levels and collection arrangements.
