This specially formulated oil minimizes the risk of lead developing a patchy, non-adherent white coating known as lead carbonate—a corrosive substance that can spread to nearby surfaces, causing stains and damage.

By applying Patination Oil, you not only improve the appearance of the lead but also protect against the formation of lead carbonate in damp or rainy conditions. It is highly recommended to use Patination Oil on all newly installed lead sheets for long-lasting, professional results.
