Help prevent bitumen staining through your silicone roof coating with GacoFlex A4271 Bleed Trap Base Coat. Designed for use on suitable felt, asphalt and other bituminous roof surfaces, this water-based acrylic sealer forms a protective base layer before applying GacoFlex S42 Silicone Roof Coating.

Bituminous roof coverings can release oils that migrate through a coating and discolour its finish. GacoFlex A4271 encapsulates these oils within the base coat, helping to prevent bleed-through into the GacoFlex silicone topcoat.

Supplied in an 18.9 litre pail, this single-component base coat is easy to apply. Its red colour makes treated areas clearly visible, helping you check coverage before applying the next layer of the roofing system.

Key Features:

  • Helps prevent bitumen bleed-through – isolates oils that can stain the silicone topcoat.
  • Water-based acrylic formulation – designed for use on suitable bituminous roofing surfaces.
  • Single-component product – no separate hardener required.
  • Red finish – makes coverage easy to see during application.
