The Fakro XDP Insulating Collar Set is designed to ensure a fast, effective, and airtight connection between your roof window and the surrounding roofing structure. Ideal for all roof window sizes – including non-standard – this set provides exceptional insulation performance using natural, impregnated sheep wool and a high-quality vapour-permeable underfelt collar.

High Vapour-Permeable Underfelt Collar

The XDP Plus includes a pleated, air-permeable underfelt collar manufactured from premium-quality EUROTOP highly vapour-permeable roofing membrane.

Designed to connect the roof window with the roofing membrane or underfelt used within the roof construction, the collar helps provide a neat and secure installation around the window.

Heat-sealed pleats along the outer edges of the side elements allow the collar to be accurately fitted around roof battens. Its flexible design enables it to be laid directly over the battens regardless of their spacing or thickness, helping make installation quicker and easier.

Natural Sheep Wool Thermal Insulation

The XDP Plus set also includes specially impregnated natural sheep wool insulation, selected for its excellent elasticity and ability to fit tightly into the space surrounding the window frame.

Its optimum density and flexible structure allow the insulation to fill gaps effectively, helping reduce thermal bridging and heat loss around the roof window.

The insulation supplied consists of:

Sheep wool blocks in 150 x 50mm and 70 x 50mm sections
Sheep wool tress approximately Ø50mm diameter

The flexible sheep wool can be positioned around the window frame to achieve a close, continuous layer of thermal insulation.
