Installation Made Easy:
Installing our EPDM Vertical Roof Outlet Drain is a straightforward process. Here's a step-by-step guide to ensure a secure and watertight installation:
Trim the Drain Flange: Cut the drain flange down to leave a 25-35mm flange for a secure fit.
Prepare the Roof Membrane: Cut a hole in the roof membrane that matches the size of your drain (68mm, 100mm, or 110mm).
Secure the Drain: Insert the drain into the hole, ensuring a positive fit inside the downpipe.
Fix to Decking: Secure the drain to the roof deck by screwing through the flange using three wood screws for added stability.
Apply Rubber Primer: Prime the Internal Drain and the surrounding roof membrane with rubber primer for enhanced adhesion.
Attach Uncured Flashing: Cut a piece of 9" Uncured Flashing and place it over the internal drain. Make sure there is at least 60mm of extra flashing on all sides bonded to the roof membrane.
Seam Roller Application: Adhere the flashing to the drain and membrane using a seam roller once the primer is touch dry, ensuring a strong bond.
Insert Leaf Guard: Lastly, cut a hole in the flashing, being careful not to damage the internal drain, and insert the leaf guard to prevent debris build-up.
