C100MT GRP Simulated Lead Cover Flashing Trim with Moisture Trap
C100 Moisture Trap Simulated Lead Flashing Trim, a modern alternative to traditional lead flashing. Featuring a dark grey, non-adhesive finish that closely resembles the appearance of lead, this preformed trim is designed to seamlessly replace lead flashing, This trim provides a moisture trap on its top leg. The unique return on its top leg helps to eliminate any moisture from entering via the chased brickwork. (See Image)
The Flashing Trim is crafted to slot into the brickwork, requiring a 25mm chase between two brickwork courses for the return to be securely set into place. It is advisable to apply some sealant or mortar to open the chase once the trim is installed.
Apply polyurethane adhesive to the back of the C trim every 300mm. Fit the trim into the slot and press firmly back to the wall to overlap the D trim. To ensure a watertight seal, apply a clear silicone sealant along the length of the trim into the slot.
Sold as a single 3m length.
