GRP fibreglass roofs are equally adept for use as warm or cold roofs.
Below is the construction detail for each one.
Important Update: We now recommend OSB3 boarding in place of Plywood.
Warm Roof Construction

Important points to note:
- A vapour Control Layer (VCL) must be used underneath the insulation boards.
- OSB or similar sheeting needs to be laid on top of the insulation boards to give the GRP roof membrane an adequate base for adhesion and stability.
Cold Roof Construction

Important points to note:
- 50mm minimum air gap is required between the insulation and the roof decking
- The air gap needs to be adequately ventilated
