Suitable Surfaces:

This roofing adhesive is formulated for easy application with a spreader brush or short pile roller. Its versatility shines through as it securely bonds ClassicBond EPDM to various surfaces, including brick, render, timber, metals, plastics, concrete, and approved insulation. For larger commercial projects exceeding 100m², it's recommended to utilize ClassicBond Bonding Adhesive across the entire roof area. However, please note that this adhesive is not compatible with expanded polystyrene.

Application Tips:

Use a 4" mini roller to apply the contact adhesive to both the up-stand and the rubber roofing membrane. Secure the membrane to the deck perimeter with a 150mm width strip of contact adhesive to prevent lifting due to structural movement. Ensure that the contact adhesive is touch dry before rolling the membrane onto the substrate or up-stand.

Apply the contact adhesive evenly to both the deck and the underside of the membrane using a roller. Make sure the contact adhesive is touch dry before rolling the membrane onto the deck, typically within 5-20 minutes. Please note that repositioning the membrane after it has been stuck down using contact adhesive is not possible.
